Facebook's new Greetings feature may soon allow you to send winks, high fives, hugs and more

Facebook is planning to give a major refresh to its aged Poke feature. The social media company is testing a new set of Greetings for its users. Currently active only in Britain, Thailand, Australia, Canada, Columbia and France, the feature will allow Facebook users to send a wink, a high-five, a hug and a wave with this new feature.
Reportedly, the feature has been released to mark the tenth anniversary of the Poke feature. The feature will show under the Hello button on your friend's profile. Hover over the hello button to see all the alternatives.

Facebook introduced the Hello button in June. It is placed at the top of people's profiles. The feature works in a similar way the Reactions or status work. The Greetings feature also has an undo button in case it is sent to any wrong friend.

 Facebook in the past few months have made several security-related updates. The social media company is asking some of its users for a clear photo of their face while login so that it can be sure of the user's identity.

Facebook recently also announced its plans to ask users for their nude photos to fight against the revenge porn. The company says that it will use the nude photo from a user to identify other similar photos on its website. Currently, it is now a part of a pilot project in Australia.

Facebook now also helps blood donors to connect with the blood banks easily. The feature went live on October 1, 2018 and is specifically designed for India.
